PUBLIC LAW 101-210—DEC. 7, 1989 103 STAT. 1839 Public Law 101-210 101st Congress Joint Resolution Providing for the appointment of Homer Alfred Neal as a citizen regent of the Board Dec. 7, 1989 of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution. [S.J. Res. 203] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in accordance with Section 5581 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (20 U.S.C. 43), the vacancy on the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institu- tion, in the class other than Members of Congress, occurring by reason of the resignation of Murray Gell-Mann of California on September 13, 1988, is filled by the appointment of Homer Alfred Neal of Michigan. The appointment is for a term of six years, beginning on the date on which this joint resolution becomes law. Approved December 7, 1989. LEGISLATIVE HISTORY—S.J.
