PUBLIC LAW 101-230—DEC. 13, 1989 103 STAT. 1953 Public Law 101-230 101st Congress An Act To designate lock and dam numbered 4 on the Arkansas River, Arkansas, as the Dec. 13, 1989 "Emmett Sanders Lock and Dam". [H.R. 2178] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. DESIGNATION. Lock and dam numbered 4 on the Arkansas River, Arkansas, constructed as part of the project for navigation on the Arkansas River and tributaries, shall hereafter be known and designated as the "Emmett Sanders Lock and Dam". SEC. 2. LEGAL REFERENCE. A reference in any law, regulation, document, or record of the United States to the lock and dam referred to in section 1 shall hereafter be deemed to be a reference to the "Emmett Sanders Lock and Dam".
