The provisions of section 4(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 shall be applicable with respect to the power of the Commission— "(1) to appoint and fix the compensation of such employees as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title, and "(2) to lease and allocate such real property as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title.". (b) THE TRUST INDENTURE ACT OF 1939. — Section 321(d) of the Trust Indenture Act of 1939 (15 U.S.C. 77uuu(d) is amended to read as follows: "(d) The provisions section 4(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 shall be applicable with respect to the power of the Commission— "(1) to appoint and fix the compensation of such employees as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title, and "(2) to lease and allocate such real property as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title.". (c) THE INVESTMENT COMPANY ACT OF 1940.— Section 46(b) of the Investment Company Act of 1940 (15 U.S.C. 80a-45(b)) is amended to read as follows: "(b) The provisions of section 4(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 shall be applicable with respect to the power of the Commission— "(1) to appoint and fix the compensation of such employees as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title, and "(2) to lease and allocate such real property as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title.". (d) THE INVESTMENT ADVISERS ACT OF 1940.— Section 218 of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (15 U.S.C. 80b-18) is amended to read as follows: "HIRING AND LEASING AUTHORITY OF THE COMMISSION "SEC. 218. The provisions of section 4(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 shall be applicable with respect to the power of the Commission— "(1) to appoint and fix the compensation of such other employ- ees as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title, and "(2) to lease and allocate such real property as may be necessary for carrying out its functions under this title.".
