106 STAT. 196 PUBLIC LAW 102-295—MAY 28, 1992 "(1) the handling of child abuse and ne^jlect cases, particularly cases of child sexiuJ abuse and exploitation, in a manner which limits additional trauma to the child victim* "(2) the handling of cases of suspected child abuse or neglect related fatahties; and "(3) the investigation and prosecution of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation."; (3) in subsection (b)— (A) Iqr striking out "and 107(e) or receive a waiver under section lOTCc)" in paragraph (1); (B) l^ striking out "and** at the end of paragraph (3); (C) by inserting "annually" after "submit in paragraph (4); and (D) by striking out the period at the end thereof and inserting the following:"; and Reports. «(5) submit annually to the Secretary a report on the manner in which assistance received under this program was expended throughout the State, with particular attention focused on the areas described in paragraphs (1) through (3) of subsection (a).*; (4) in subsection (c)(l)— (A) in the matter preceding subpara|n^ph (A)— (i) by inserting ", and maintam" after "designate"; and (ii) by striking out "child abuse" and inserting in lieu thereof "child phvsical abuse, child neglect, child sexual abuse and exploitation, ana child maltreatment related fatalities"; (B) by striking out 'judicial and legal officers" in subparagraph (B) and inserting in lieu thereof 'fudges and attorneys involved in both civil and criminal court proceedings related to child abuse and neglect"; (C) by inserting before the semicolon in subparagraph (C), the following: ", including both attorneys for children and, where such programs are in operation, court appointed special advocates; and (D) by striking out "handicaps;" in subparagraph (F), and inserting in heu thereof "disabilities". (5) in subsection (d)— (A) by striking out "the State task force shall" in the matter preceding paragraph (1), and inserting in lieu thereof and at three year intervals thereafter, the State task force shall comprehensively"; (B) by striking out '^udiciaJ" and all that follows in paragraph (1), and inserting in lieu thereof the following: nboth civil and criminal judicial handling of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation, as well as cases involving suspected child maltreatment related fatalities and cases involving a potential combination of jurisdictions, such as interstate, Federal-State, and State-Tribal;"; (C) by inserting "polipv and training" before "recommenclations" in paragraph (2); and (6) in subsection (e)(l)— (A) by striking out "child abuse" and all that follows through "child victim" in subpanug^aph (^, and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "child abuse and neglect.
