AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS. (a) IN GENERAL.—The following amounts are authorized to be appropriated to carry out international information activities, and educational and cultural exchange programs under the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948, the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961, Reorganization Plan Number 2 of 1977, the Radio Broadcasting to Cm>a Act, the Television Broadcasting to Cuba Act, the Board for International Broadcasting Act, the Inspector General Act of 1978, the Center for Cultural and Technical Interchange Between North and South Act, the National Endowment for Democracy Act, and to carry out other authorities in law consistent with such purposes: (1) SALARIES AND EXPENSES. —For "Salaries and Expenses", $487,988,000 for the fiscal year 1994 and $494,862,000 for the fiscal year 1995. (2) EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS.— (A) FULBRIGHT ACADEMIC EXCHANGE PROGRAMS.—FOR the Tulbright Academic Exchange Programs", $130,538,000 for the fiscal year 1994 and $126,312,000 for the fiscal year 1995. (B) OTHER PROGRAMS,—For "Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program", "Edmimd S. Muskie Fellowship Program", "International Visitors Program", "Israeh-Arab Scholarship Program", "Mike Mansfield Fellowship Program", "Claude and Mildred Pepper Scholarship Program of the Washington Workshops Foundation", "Citizen Exchange Programs", "Congress-Bundestag Exchange Program", "Newly Independent States and Eastern Europe Training", "Institute for Representative Government", "American Studies Collections", "South Pacific Exchanges", "East Timorese Scholarships", "Cambodian Scholarships", and "Arts America", $96,962,000 for the fiscal year 1994 and $97,046,000 for the fiscal year 1995. (3) BROADCASTING TO CUBA. —For "Broadcasting to Cuba", $21,000,000 for the fiscal year 1994 and $27,609,000 for the fiscal year 1995. (4) INTERNATIONAL BROADCASTING ACTIVITIES.— For "International Broadcasting Activities" under title III, $541,676,000 for the fiscal year 1994, and $609,740,000 for the fiscal year 1995. (5) OFFICE OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL. — For "Office of the Inspector General", $4,247,000 for the fiscal year 1994 and $4,396,000 for the fiscal year 1995. (6) CENTER FOR CULTURAL AND TECHNICAL INTERCHANGE BETWEEN EAST AND WEST.— For "Center for Cultural and Technical Interchange between East and West", $26,000,000 for the fiscal year 1994 and $24,500,000 for the fiscal year 1995. (7) TITLE V OF PUBLIC LAW 98-164. —TO carry out title V of Public Law 98-164, $35,000,000 for the fiscal year 1994 and $35,000,000 for the fiscal year 1995.
