"(a) Under regulations prescribed by the Secretary concerned, there shall be maintained retired lists containing the names of the Reserves of the armed forces under the Secretary's jurisdiction who are in the Retired Reserve. "(b) The Secretary of the Navy shall maintain a United States Naval Reserve Retired List containing the names of members of the Naval Reserve and the Marine Corps Reserve entitled to retired pay.". Repeal. (2) Sections 1374 and 6017 are repealed. (3)(A) Section 1376 is amended— (i) by striking out subsection (a); and (ii) by striking out "(b)" before "The Secretary concerned". (B) The heading of that section is amended to read as follows: "§ 1376. Temporary disability retired lists". SEC. 1663. LAWS RELATING TO RESERVE COMPONENT TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. (a) TRAINING GENERALLY. — Subtitle E, as added by section 1611, is amended by adding after part III of such subtitle (as added by that section) the following: " PA RT IV—TRAINING FOR RESERVE COMPONENTS AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS "Chap. Sec. "1601. Training Generally [No present sections] "1606. Educational Assistance for Members of the Selected Reserve 16131 "1608. Health Professions Stipend Program 16201 "1609. (b) MONTGOMERY GI BILL FOR SELECTED RESERVE.— (1) Part IV of subtitle E (as added by subsection (a)) is amended by adding at the end the following: " CHAPTER 1606—EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE SELECTED RESERVE "Sec. "16131. Educational assistance program: establishment; amount. "16132. Eligibility for educational assistance. "16133. Time limitations for use of entitlement. "16134. Termination of assistance. "16135. Failure to participate satisfactorily; penalties. "16136. Administration of program. "16137. Reports to Congress.".
