(a) Except as provided in this subdivision, the aggregate quantity of articles containing over 10 percent by dry weight of sugars described in additional U.S. note 3 to chapter 17, the foregoing goods entered under s ubhead ings 1701.91.54, 1704.9 0.74, 1806.2 0.75, 1806.2 0.95, 1 806.9 0.55, 19 01.90.56, 210 1.10. 54, 2 101. 20.5 4, 21 03.90.74, 21 06.9 0.78 and 2 106.9 0.95 during t he period fron January 1 to Septeirber 30, 1995, inclusive, shall not exceed the remaining quantity available, if any, from the quota amount of 64,773 metric tons (except that iiaports from Mexico shall not be permitted or included under the aforementioned quantitative limitation) applicable to such articles during the quota period that Isegan on October 1, 1994; and at the close of SeptenAier 30, 1995, such quota period shall be considered terminated. (b) The aggregate quantity of articles containing over 10 percent by dry weight of sugars described in additional U.S. note 3 to chapter 17, entered under subheadings 1701.91.54, 1704.90.74, 1806.20.75, 1806. 20.95, 1806. 90.55, 1 901.90.56, 2101.10. 54, 2 101.2 0.54, 210 6.90.78 and 21 06.90.95 during the 12-month period from October 1 i n any year to t he following September 30, inclusive (•beginning with October 1, 1995), shall not exceed 64,709 metric tons (itiports from Mexico shall not be permitted or included under this quantitative limitation and no such articles shall be cl assif iable th erein). 9.
