Disposition ry'the Indian ribcs on the Pacific, and for other Purposes. *1* Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States ¢y" America in Congress assembled, That the sum of three hundred APpf<>p¤’?¤¢iQ¤¤ thousand dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated, out of any §°;;ual§S°?°° with monies in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended under the direction of the President of the United States, for restoring and maintaining the peaceable disposition of the Indian tribes on the Pacific. Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of one hundred and Appropriation twenty thousand dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated, out of f°I;'u P:"x1€‘;“° E; any monies in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purchase 5,0 gmac Wm_ of gunpowder for tho Pacihc coast. XIV.——An Act making Appropriations for the Payment of invalid and other Ap,-il 5, 1g5g_ Pensions of the United States for the Year ending the thirliet/1 of June, eiyhteen hundred —··;—·· and fijlfyseven. Be it enacted {gy the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums be, and the same are hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of pensions for the year ending the thirtieth of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven: For invalid pensions, under various acts, Eve hundred and three thousand three hundred dollars. For pensions under acts of the eighteenth March, one thousand eight 1818, 0h_ gg, hundred and eighteen, fifteenth May, one thousand eight hundred and 1828, eh. 53. twenty-eight, and seventh June, one thousand eight hundred and thirty- 1832, ch. 128- two, one hundred and thirteen thousand six hundred dollars. For pensions to widows of those who served during the revolutionary war, under the third section of acts of fourth July, one thousand eight 1836’ch_;;62_ hundred and thirty-six, seventh July, one thousand eight hundred and 183S,ch_;gg_ thirty-eight, third March, one thousand eight hundred and forty-three, 1843, eh. 102. seventeenth June, one thousand eight hundred and forLy—four, second 1844, eh. 102. February, one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight, and second section 1848, eh. 8. act of third February, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three, four 1853»°h· 4l· hundred and sixty thousand dollars. For pensions to widows and orphans, under act of twenty-first July, one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight, first section acl: of third 1848,ch·108· February, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three, two hundred and 1853,cb- 41- Pour thousand dollars. For half-pay pensions, payable through the second and third auditors of the treasury, thirty-eight thousand and forty-seven dollars and seven cents. For navy invalid pensions, thirty thousand dollars.
