"(4) A discharge in bankruptcy under title 11 that is entered less than five years after the termination of the agreement does not discharge the member signing the agreement from a debt arising under the agreement or under paragraph (1). This paragraph Applicability. applies to any case commenced under title 11 on or after the date of the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1998. "(e) EFFECT OF REST AND RECUPERATIVE ABSENCE.— A member who elects to receive one of the benefits specified in section 705(b) of title 10 as part of the extension of a tour of duty is not entitled to the special pay authorized by subsection (b)(1) for the period of the extension of duty for which the benefit under such section is provided.". (2) The item relating to section 314 in the table of sections at the beginning of chapter 5 of such title is amended to read as follows: "314. Special pay or bonus: qualified enlisted members extending duty at designated locations overseas.". (b) APPLICATION OF AMENDMENT. —Section 314 of title 37, 37 USC 3i4 note. United States Code, as amended by subsection (a), shall apply with respect to an agreement to extend a tour of duty as provided in such section executed on or after October 1, 1997. SEC. 626. INCREASE IN AMOUNT OF FAMILY SEPARATION ALLOWANCE. Section 427 of title 37, United States Code (as amended by section 603), is further amended in subsection (a)(1) by striking out "$75" and inserting in heu thereof "$100". SEC. 627. DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT OF READY RESERVE MUSTER DUTY ALLOWANCE. Section 433(c) of title 37, United States Code, is amended— (1) in the first sentence, by striking out "and shall be" and all that follows through "is performed"; and (2) by inserting after the first sentence the following new sentence: "The allowance may be paid to the member before, on, or after the date on which the muster duty is performed, but not later than 30 days after that date.". Subtitle C—Travel and Transportation Allowances SEC. 631. TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCES FOR DEPEND- ENTS BEFORE APPROVAL OF MEMBER'S COURT-MARTIAL SENTENCE. Section 406(h)(2)(C) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking out the comma at the end of clause (iii) and all that follows through "title 10." and inserting in lieu thereof a period. SEC. 632. DISLOCATION ALLOWANCE. (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 407 of title 37, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:
