There is hereby authorized to be appropriated to the Depart ment of Defense for military personnel for fiscal year 2005 a total of $106,542,982,000. The authorization in the preceding sentence supersedes any other authorization of appropriations (definite or indefinite) for such purpose for fiscal year 2005. SEC. 422. ARMED FORCES RETIREMENT HOME. There is hereby authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 2005 from the Armed Forces Retirement Home Trust Fund the sum of $61,195,000 for the operation of the Armed Forces Retire ment Home. TITLE V—MILITARY PERSONNEL POLICY Subtitle A—Officer Personnel Policy Sec. 501. Transition of active duty list officer force to a force of all regular officers. Sec. 502. Repeal of requirement that Deputy Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Naval Operations be selected from officers in the line of the Navy. Sec. 503.
