(a) ORIGINAL APPOINTMENTS AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS.—(1) Section 532 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking subsection (e). (2) Subsection (a)(2) of such section is amended by striking ‘‘fifty fifth birthday’’ and inserting ‘‘sixty second birthday’’.
