Public Law 109–106 109th Congress An Act Nov. 21, 2005 [H.R. 4133] National Flood Insurance Program Further Enhanced Borrowing Authority Act of 2005. 42 USC 4001 note.

To temporarily increase the borrowing authority of the Federal Emergency Management Agency for carrying out the national flood insurance program.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘National Flood Insurance Program Further Enhanced Borrowing Authority Act of 2005’’. SEC. 2. INCREASE IN BORROWING AUTHORITY.

The first sentence of subsection (a) of section 1309 of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 4016(a)), as amended by the National Flood Insurance Program Enhanced Borrowing Authority Act of 2005 (Public Law 109–65; 119 Stat. 1998), is amended by striking ‘‘$3,500,000,000’’ and inserting ‘‘$18,500,000,000’’. SEC. 3. EMERGENCY SPENDING.

The amendment made under section 2 is designated as emergency spending, as provided under section 402 of H. Con. Res. 95 (109th Congress). Approved November 21, 2005.
