‘‘(ii) the status or disposition of any applications under clause (i), including, in the case of any applica- tion on which a final decision was rendered, the labora- tory involved, what the laboratory had requested, the decision reached, and the reasons for the decision; and ‘‘(iii) in the case of any applications under clause (i) on which a final decision was not rendered, the date by which a final decision is anticipated. ‘‘( 3 ) DEFINITION.— F or purposes of this subsection, the term ‘demonstration laboratory ’ means a laboratory designated by the Secretary of Defense under the provisions of section 3 4 2(b) of the N ational Defense Authori z ation Act for Fiscal Y ear 19 9 5 (as cited in subsection (a)).’’. SEC.1 11 0 . T EC HNI C AL A M EN D MENT R ELATIN G T O DE F INITION OF P ROFESSIONAL ACCO U NTING POSITION FOR PURPOSES OF CERTIFICATION AND CREDENTIALING STANDARDS. Section 1599d(e) of title 1 0 , U nited States Code, is amended by striking ‘‘ G S – 510, GS–511, and GS–505’’ and inserting ‘‘0505, 0510, 0511, or equivalent’’. SEC. 1111. E X CEPTIONS AND AD J USTMENTS TO LIMITATIONS ON PER - SONNEL AND REPORTS ON SUCH EXCEPTIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS. (a) E XC E P TION TO L IMITATION S ON P ERSONNE L .—For fiscal year 2009 and fiscal years thereafter, the baseline personnel limitations in sections 143, 194, 3014, 5014, and 8 014 of title 10, United States Code (as ad j usted pursuant to subsection (b)), shall not apply to— (1) acquisition personnel hired pursuant to the expedited hiring authority provided in section 1 7 05(h) of title 10, United States Code, as amended by section 821 of this Act, or otherwise hired with funds in the Department of Defense Acquisition Workforce Development Fund established in accordance with section 1705(a) of such title; or (2) personnel hired pursuant to a shortage category des- ignation by the Secretary of Defense or the Director of the O ffice of Personnel M anagement. (b) AUT H ORIT Y TO AD J UST LIMITATIONS ON PERSONNEL.—For fiscal year 2009 and for four fiscal years thereafter, the Secretary 10USC 1 43note.
