In this title ( other than su b title C): ( 1 )A VERAG E C R OP REVE NU EE L EC TI ON PA YM ENT. —T he term ‘‘a v erage cro p revenue election payment’’ means a payment ma d e to producers on a farm under section 11 05 . ( 2 ) B A S E ACRES.— (A) IN GENERAL.—The term ‘‘base acres’’, w ith respect to a covered commodity on a farm, means the number of acres established under section 1101 of the F arm Secu- rity and R ural Investment Act of 2002 ( 7U .S.C. 7 9 11) as in effect on September 3 0, 2007, sub j ect to any adjust- ment under section 1101 of this Act. (B) P EANUTS.—The term ‘‘base acres for peanuts’’ has the meaning given the term in section 1301. (3) COUNTER-CYCLICAL PAYMENT.—The term ‘‘counter- cyclical payment’’ means a payment made to producers on a farm under section 110 4 . (4) COVERE D COMMODITY.—The term ‘‘covered commodity’’ means wheat, corn, grain sorghum, barley, oats, upland cotton, long grain rice, medium grain rice, pulse crops, soybeans, and other oilseeds. (5) D IRECT PAYMENT.—The term ‘‘direct payment’’ means a payment made to producers on a farm under section 1103. ( 6 ) EF FECTIVE PRICE.—The term ‘‘effective price’’, with respect to a covered commodity for a crop year, means the price calculated by the Secretary under section 1104 to deter- mine whether counter-cyclical payments are re q uired to be made for that crop year. 7USC8 7 02. 7 USC 870 1 .
