NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SA F ET Y BOARD SALARIES AND EXPENSES For necessary expenses of the National Transportation Safety Board, including hire of passenger motor vehicles and aircraft; services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, but at rates for individuals not to exceed the per diem rate e q uivalent to the rate for a GS– 15; uniforms, or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 5901–5902) $91,000,000, of which not to exceed $2,000 may be used for official reception and representation expenses. The amounts made available to the National Transportation Safety Board in this Act include amounts necessary to ma k e lease payments due in fiscal year 2009 only, on an obligation incurred in fiscal year 2001 for a capital lease. O f the funds provided, up to $100,000 shall be provided through reimbursement to the Department of Transportation ’ s Office of Inspector General to audit the National Transportation Safety Board’s financial statements. ( RESCISSION ) Of the available unobligated balances made available under this heading in P ublic Law 106–246, $671,275 are rescinded.
