‘(c) ANNUAL REPORT.—Not later than December 31 of each y ear after 200 8 in which the authority in subsection (a) is in effect , the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Con g ress a re p ort setting forth, for the one - year period ending on the date of such report, the following: ‘‘(1) An assessment of the effect on counter-drug and counter-terrorism acti v ities and ob j ectives of using counter- drug funds of a joint tas k force to provide counterterrorism support authorized by subsection (a). ‘‘(2) A description of the type of support and any recipient of support provided under subsection (a). ‘‘(3) A list of current joint task forces conducting counter- drug operations. ’ ’. 114 Stat. 16 5 4A–255), as most recently amended by section 1021 of the Duncan H unter National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009 (Public Law 110–417; 122 Stat. 4586), is further amended by striking ‘‘April 15, 2006’’ and all that follows through ‘‘February 15, 2009’’ and inserting ‘‘Feb- ruary 15, 2010’’. SEC. 101 4 . SUPPORT FOR COUNTER-DRUG ACTIVITIES OF CERTAIN FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS. (a) I N G ENERAL.—Subsection (a)(2) section 1033 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1998 (Public Law 105– 85; 111 Stat. 1881), as most recently amended by section 1024(a) of the Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2009 (Public Law 110–417; 122 Stat. 4587), is further amended by striking ‘‘2009’’ and inserting ‘‘2010’’. (b) M A XIM UM AMOUNT O F SUPPORT.—Subsection (e)(2) of such section is amended by striking ‘‘fiscal year 2009’’ and inserting ‘‘either of fiscal years 2009 and 2010’’. (c) CON D ITION S ON PRO V ISION OF SUPPORT.—Subsection (f)(2) of such section is amended in the matter preceding subparagraph (A) by striking ‘‘for fiscal year 2009 to carry out this section and the first fiscal year in which the support is to be provided’’ and inserting ‘‘and available for support’’. (d) COUNTER-DRU G PLAN.—Subsection (h) of such section is amended— (1) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking ‘‘fiscal year 2009’’ and inserting ‘‘for each fiscal year’’; and (2) in paragraph (7), by striking ‘‘fiscal year 2009, and thereafter, for the first fiscal year in which support is to be provided’’ and inserting ‘‘each fiscal year in which support is to be provided to a government’’.
