(1) T he allowance for the office of the M a j ority F loor L eader is increased by $ 200,000. (2) The allowance for the office of the Minority Floor Leader is increased by $200,000. (b) Effective with respect to fiscal year 200 9 and each suc- ceeding fiscal year, the aggregate amount otherwise authorized to be appropriated for a fiscal year for the lump-sum allowance for each of the following offices is increased as follows: (1) The allowance for the office of the Majority W hip is increased by $ 7 2,000. (2) The allowance for the office of the Minority Whip is increased by $72,000. SEC. 10 5 . (a) Section 101 of the Legislative B ranch A ppropria- tions Act, 199 3 (2 U .S. C . 95b) is amended by stri k ing ‘ ‘transferred among ’ ’ each place it appears in subsections (a), (b), and (c)(1) and inserting ‘‘transferred among and merged with’’. (b) Section 101(c)(2) of such Act (2 U.S.C. 95b(c)) is amended to read as follows: ‘‘(2) The headings referred to in paragraph (1) are ‘ H ouse Leadership O ffices’, ‘Members’ R epresentational Allowances’, ‘Com- mittee Employees’, ‘Salaries, Officers and Employees’, and ‘Allow- ances and E x penses’.’’. (c) The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to fiscal year 2009 and each succeeding fiscal year. SEC. 10 6 . P E RMIT TI NG H OUS EC H I LD C A RE CENTER TO O F FER SER V ICES FOR SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN. — Section 312(a)(1) of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 1992 (2 U.S.C. 2062(a)(1)) is amended by striking ‘‘pre-school child care’’ and inserting the following: ‘‘pre-school child care and (subject to the approval of regulations by the Committee on House Administration) child care for school age children other than during the course of the ordinary school day’’.
