Jackson. Jackson. The land—district of Jackson is co-extensive with the limits of the State of Mississippi. Mrouroxs. 14. Detroit. Detroit. The land·district of Detroit includes al1_ that part of the State of Michigan situated east of the following lines of public surveys, viz: Townships one to five north, inclusive, east of the rincipal meridian; townships six to nineteen north, inclusive, extemgng east of the line between ranges eleven and twelve east; townships one to four south, inclusive, kying east of the line between rangles t ree and four west; townships ve to nine south, extending from the line between ranges- four and tive west. It also includes that part of the late Sheboygan land-district which lies north of the line between townships twenty-e1g1ht and twenty- nine north, and east of the line between ranges two an three west of the principal meridian, and extending to `La e Huron in the southern ppninsula of Michigan, comprehending within 'its limits the island of ackinaw. 15. East Saginaw Enstsaginaw. I4•.nd·district embraces townships six to ten north, lying east of the principal meridian and west of the line between ranges e even and twelve east of said meridian; also townships eleven to twenty-eight north, lying east of the line between range; two and three west of the principa meridian, and west of the line tween ranges eleven and twelve east. 16. Ionic rom Land-district includes the southwestern part of the southern peninsula of Michigan, extending south of the second correction—line north of the base-line and west of the East Saginaw district, and also west of that part of Detroit district adjoining south boundary of the State of Michigan. 17. Marquette Marquette. Land-district embraces the whole extent of the northern peninsula of Michigan, including Drummond Island and those adjacent to the Big Bay de Noc. 18. Traverse City or Sheboygan Tmvem City gy Sheboygan. I4nd·district includes that rtion of the northwestern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan whichjlies north of the second correction-line and west of the line between ranges two and three west of the principal meridian, including islands in Inkes Huron Michigan, and the Straits of Mackinac, exclusive of the islands of Mackinaw and Drummond.
