And the Secretary of the Interior is hereby directed and required to take at once such other reasonable measures as may be necessary in connection with said prohibition to prevent said Indians from entering said State. That when not required for the purpose for which appropri- Pey‘c£ employes ated, the funds herein provided for the pay of specined employees at any **1* ¤P°°m°d *8**1- agency may be used by the Secretary of the Interior for the pay of the °1°“· employees at such agency, but no denciency shall be thereby created; and when necessary, specified employees may be detailed for other service when not required t or the duty for which they were engaged; and that the several appropriations herein made for miilers, blacksmiths, engineers, carpenters, physicians, and other persons, and for various articles provided for by treaty stipulation for the several Indian tribes, may be diverted to other uses for the benefit of the said tribes respectively, within the discretion of the President, and with the consent of said tribes, expressed in the usual manner; and that he cause report to be made to Congress, at its next session thereafter, of his action under this provision. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United _ _ States of America, in Congress assembled, That the following sums be, and Ar»pr<>r>r}¤*¤<>¤¤a the same are hereby, appropriated for the service of the fiscal year end- dngggggc ing June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty-one, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the objects hereinafter expressed, namely: _ _ For salaries of envoys extraordinary and ministers plempotentrary to Euvoys; pleni- Great Britain, France, Germany, and Russia, at seventeen thousand p<>t¤¤tiarw¤· five hundred dollars each, seventy thousand dollars. For salaries of envoys extraordinary and ministers plenipotentiary to Spain, Austria, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, and China, at twelve thousand dollars each, eighty-fou.r thousand dollars.
