For hydrography on` the same coast, nve thousand dollars. For continuing the survey of the coast of Oregon, namely: Survey hom Umpquah River southward, and including such river mouths as may be specially called for, and off-shore hydrography, and the survey of Columbia River and Willamette River to the head of ship navigation, seven thousand dollars. For continuing the survey of the coast of Washington Territory, namely: For continuing the triangulation, topography, and hydrography of Fuca Strait, of the estuaries of Puget Sound and of Possession Sound, nine thousand dollars. — For expenses of the transfer of the steamer Patterson from New York to San Francisco, nve thousand one hundred and nfty dollars. For continuing explorations in the waters of Alaska; the preparation for and making hydrographic surveys in the same, three thousand nve hundred and ntty dollars. For miscellaneous work and contingencies of all kinds, including traveling expenses of onioers and men·of the Navy onduty, not specined in the above. and for any special surveys that may be required by the LightHouse Board or other proper authority, two thousand dollars. f Fog continuing tide observations on the Pacino coast, two thousand our undred dollars. For magnetic observations on the Pacino coast, two thousand dollars. For traveling expenses of the Superintendent and his party on duty of inspection, eight hundred dollars. For objects not hereinbefore named that may be deemed urgent, one thousand dollars. And ten per centum of the foregoing amounts shall be available interchangeably for expenditure on the objects named- in all for party expenses, one hundred and twenty thousand six hundred dollars. Transcontinental geodetio work: For transcontinental geodetic work, including line of leveling between the Atlantic and Pacino Oceans, twenty thousand dollars.
