That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized to use the _Procee¤ls of Inmoney which has been or may hereaiter be covered into the Treasury *1*83 ,**%*2* **2*** under the provisions of the act approved March third, eighteen hundred gfsegfemxff EQ and eighty-three, and which is carried on the books of that Department wrt0f_ under the caption of “Indian moneys, proceeds of labor," for the bene- Vol- 22, p- 590- tit of the several tribes on whose account said money was covered in, in such way and for such purposes as in his discretion he may think best, and shall make annually a detailed report thereof to Congress. To enable the Secretary of the Interior to employ practical iarmers, Practical farmin addition to the agency farmers now employed, at wages not exceed- mling seventy-tive dollars each per month, to superintend and direct farming among such Indians as are making eftort for self-support, forty thousand dollars; and no person shall be employed as such iarmer who ,,. has not been for at least five years previous to such employment practically engaged in the occupation of iarming. _ _ Pay of Indian police: For the service of not exceeding seven hundred I¤d¤¤¤ P<>h¤¤· privates, at eight dollars per month each, and not exceeding seventy
