Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the half of the following District of Cosums named, respectively, is hereby appropriated, out of any money in Ipmbie appropriathe Treasury not otherwise appropriated, and the other half out of the “°"‘· revenues of the District of Columbia, for the purposes following, being the estimated expenses of the government of the District of Columbia. for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty- eight, namely: GENERAL EXPENSES.
