mngten, District, of Columbia. ————— —- Be it enacted by the Sonata and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the congregation of Saint: Saint P=m·tpk'¤ Patrick’s Church in tbvcity of Washington, in the District of Columbia, c*““’°h· W“‘*'”8` be permitted to pay the general taxes in arrears upon lots numbered °°"’ D'C' from thirty-six to forty-six, both inclusive, in Square numbered three hundred and seventy-six, in the said city of Washington, for the years from June thirtieth,eigbtecu hundred and seventy-four, t.0Juno mhirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty, without the interest, penalties, and costs that have accrued thereon; and that upon tho payment of said princi· R°¤¤¤¤i°¤ °*` i¤· pal sum of the taxes, all interest, penalties, and costs that have accrued {‘§':°°*u';°:‘; of °°’ thereon be remitted and released by the District of Columbia. uw: pymmigz Approved, June 30, 1886. Puunps, postmaster u; 01m1m, omg, and credit mm ;,;'5‘_P§t;'{_¤?”‘“ in said settlement with the sum of two thousand Bun hundred and fourteen dollart and eightymine cents, the same being for United States postage-stamps of the value of one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven dollars and sixty-four cunts, and moneyordcr funds amounting to two hundred and seventy-seven dollars and twenty-five cents, lost by a burglary, without any fault or negligence of the postmaster. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rqavuentatives of the United States of America in Congress emsembled, That the sum of two hundred William I·‘i¤b¤r· and thirty-one dollars and thirty-cents, being the amount of revenue R'°"';°“’°“:f'°‘; tax imposed by law upon William Fisher, of Franklin C0uuty,Virginia., Sixfhuggtigyd for the manufacture, and so forth, of two hundred and fifty-seven gallons by nm. of distilled spirits which were destroyed by iirc at the house of said Fisher, in said county, on the eleventh day of March, eighteen hundred and eighty-five. without fault or negligence upon his part, and the interestz and penalties imposed for the non·pa.ymc1xt of said tax, be, and the same are hereby, released and remitted to him; and if) prior to the Rettmid or tax. passage of this acc., the whole or any part of said tax, interest, or penal- mia **` ¤]'°•'*! ties shall have been paid by him, then the Secretary of tho Treasury is P"' ‘ hereby authorized and directed, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to refund and repay to the said William Fisher the sum or sums of money so paid by him by reason of the liabilities hcreinbeforo mentioned.
