Dickson, passed assistant surgeon; and James M. Pickxell, assistant engineer, each one thousand dollars. To Silas H. Wright, naval cadet; Samuel H. Williamson, naval cadet; \Villiam T. Webster, naval cadet; Robert Stewart, naval cadet; A. F. Oallander, mate; and David Mount, pay clerk, each seven hundred dollars. — Sec. 2. Wohlrab, landsman, shall be entitled to and receive, out of any money in the Treasury of the United States not otherwise appropriated, as follows, io-wit: The relatives, in the order named, of the persons connected with the United States steamer Ashuelot hereinbefore referred to, a. sum equal to twelve mont,hs’ sea-pay of each person lost: Provided, That in any ease where heretofore a pension Aww, has been granted, or may hereafter in fact be granted, to any such A¤wu¤M¤b¤d¤· widow, child, or dependent parent by reason of the death of any of the ‘l"°*°d f'°"* P°'*‘ persons named in this section, in the payment of such pension account "°°‘ shall be taken of any sum paid as above provided, and to the extent of its account said sum shall bein lieu and stead of such pension, and no further: Proridedfurther, That the legal representatives of the above pegal representdeceased persons who were in the service of the Government shall also **"°° t?° h°·'° •' be paid from the Treasury of the United States any arrearsof pay due '°°"° P"' said deceased ats the time of their death. · Approved, January 29, 1887. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- g- A·ThZT••· ury be, and is hereby, directed to pay to A. A. Thomas, or his assigns, “Y'“°“ °‘ out of any funds in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of ilve hundred and forty dollars, as a reimbursement for money paid by A. A. Thomas for the use of the United States while register of the United States land-otiice at Cawker City. Kansas, and the further sum of sixty-seven dollars and fourteen cents, balance due said Thomas as compensation as such register for the quarters ending September thirtietb,eighteen hundred and seven ty-two, and March thirty-tlrst, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, respectively.
