Simpson, is alleged to have been lost or mislaid an officer of the General Land Office while said scrip was in the custody of the General Land Office: . United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary P"‘“'°"‘ '°· of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay William P. Gorsuch, of Carroll county, Maryland, out of any mone in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of three hundred dollars, the amount paid by him for commutation, he havin been drafted into the military service of the United States after he had arrived at the age of forty-five years.
