Whereas by reason of a clerical error in the copying of the draft v¤1.z4,p.¤a·r. of a bill to be entitled "An act to authorize the Georgia Pacino Railway Company to construct bridges across the Sunnower, Yazoo, and Tombigbee Rivers, in Mississippi/’ approved March third, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, the tit e of the said act, and the enacting clauses thereof, names the Georgia Pacino Railroad Company as the beneficiary of the said act, and the corporation upon whom the rights, powers, and privileges therein recited are conferred; and Whereas no corporation of that name exists, and it was intended that the said rights, powers, and aprivileges should be conferred, not upon the Georgia Pacino Railro Company, but upon the Georgia Pacino Railway Com any, a corporation created an existing un er ang by virtue of the laws of the States of Alabama and Mississippi ; an Whereas the said Georgia Pacino Railway Company, is the true and only beneficiary of said act, and since the passage thereof, has been using all the means in its power to complete its plans for the. location and construction of bridges across the rivers named in said act, in accordance with the recommendations and approval of the Secretary of War and the Chief of Engineers of the Cnited States Army, and as required by the laws of the United States; and W ereas by section three of said act it is provided that if said bridges shall not be finished within two years from the passage thegeof, ghe rights and privileges thereby granted shall be null and v01 ; an Whereas it will be impossible to complete the plans, location, and construction of said ridges within two years from the passage of said act, as dprovided therein: Therefore, Be tt encote by the Senate and House of Representatives of the GeoB:iaPaci1lcRail· United States of America, in Congress assembled, That the act en- {,'§,{g€§,'}‘,}’},,‘f“,,’Ye,.f",’},’f titled "An act to authorize the Georgia Pacino Railroad Company g. wiimgvmbisbw to construct bridges across the Sunflower, Yazoo, and Tombigbee

'and enacting clauses thereof the word "railroad," wherever it occurs in the statement of the name of the corporation therein mentioned, and inserting, in lieu thereof, the word " railway," so as to make the corporate name of said corporation read, “The Georgia Pacino Railway Company,” instead of "The Georgia Pacino Railroad Com~ pany. nmcremompmuon And by striking out the words " two years from the passage of this °‘°°“°°°· act," where theyloccur in the nnal clause of section three of the act, and insertingt e words "four years from March third, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven," in lieu thereof, so as to make said nnal clause read as ollowsz "And if said bridges shall not be nnished within four years from March third, eighteen hundred and eighty~ scvgn, the rights and privileges hereby granted shall be nu]? and v01 .” Approved, April 2, 1888.
