Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Mary S¤¤¤‘z¤¤¤· United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary P°"S'°"` of the Interior be, and he is here y, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary Sturgess, a volunteer nurse in the ate war, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty-five dollars per month. United States of America in Congress assem led, That the Secretary P""“'°'* of the Interior be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the _ ension laws, the name of James McDonald, assistant wagon-master, Euartermaster’s Department, whose invalid pension claim, numbered one hundred and sixty-three thousand six hundred and twenty-one, was rejected in the Pension Office on the ground that applicant was a civilian employee when he received the injury whic caused the amputation of his leg, and to pay him a pension at the same rate as if he had been a regularly enlisted soldier.
