CHAP. 311.-A.n act establishinlg a customs-collection district in Florida, to be March I- 1889- known as the collection district of ampa, and for other purposes. `—"——_“ Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That a customs ',}`,*$•P¤·Fi¤{D collection district be, and the same is hereby, established on the gulf 1ec¤1¤¤$¤f1siiJdt.ms COL cfoast of the State of Florida, to be known as the collection district of ampa. Sec. 2. That said district shall include the territory south of a Bcundmcs. line immediately north of Anclote Key light-house, running easterly across the peninsula to Indian River, and thence south to a oint opposite to and north of Charlotte Harbor, and thence westerly across the peninsula to the coast north of Charlotte Harbor, and midway between Manatee Bay and Peace River and Charlotte Harbor. That the co lector for the port of Tampa shall be appointed °°“°°‘°"· by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, and shall be paid a salary of two thousand dollars per annum. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatiz·es of the _ United States of America in Congress assembled, That it shall be n,_’f*{gj·]§§,a$'{éj_;;ji*{_*'· lawful for The Kansas City Terminal Railway Company, a corpo- may maze Mssmnnd ration duly and legally incorporated under and by virtue of the £,§`§_°§,,’§‘f,'}‘§*‘ °“"· laws of the State of Kansas, its assigns or successors, to construct and maintain a bridge, and approaches thereto, over the Missouri River at or near Kansas City, ansas, Etlld not over ten miles above the Hannibal and Saint Joseph Railway bridge at Kansas Citv, Missouri, to be between a .point in the county of Wy*anclotte, Kansas, and a point in the county of Platte, Missouri. Said bridge shall be constructed to provide for the passage of railway trains, and, at the fogggggy-w¤w¤.¤¤d option of the persons by whom it may be built, may be used for the g°' passage of wagons and vehicles of all kinds, for the transit of animals, and for foot-passengers, for such reasonable rates of toll as T°“· may be approved from time to time by the Secretary of War. Sec. 2. That any bridge built under this act, and subject to its ,mIj*;;(f;*_l_§){l{g¤°°¤*° limitations, shall be a lawful structure, and shall be recognized and ` known as a post-route, upon which also no higher charge shall be made for the transmission over the same of the mails, the troops, and the munitions of war of the United States, or passengers or reight passing over said bridge, than the rate per mile paid for the transportation over the railroad or public highways leading to the said bri ge; and it shall enjoy the rights and privileges of other post·roads in the United States.
