Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the steamer ··ce0rgen.rarker.~· George H. Parker, so called, and now the property of Abram Smith, g,.’§},‘§§,’§i°”}',?, “i'§l€fg`Y§,‘j a citizen of the State of Michigan resident at Algonac, Saint Clair b¤i*¤S*¢¤m€¤‘· County, Michigan, be, a11d said steamer is hereby, directed to be admitted to registry, under the rules and regulations of the Department of the Treasury in that behalf made, and on like terms and conditions as though said steamer was constructed within the Uni- ‘ ted States; and that prior to such registry the said steamer shall, under the direction or the Secretary of the Treasury, be inspected I¤¤1>¢¢¤¤¤· by the local inspectors of the port where such steamer may be when such inspection is ordered, with reference on each inspection to the condition and safety of the hull, boilers, machinery, and all other equipments of said steamer as a common carrier of passengers and merchandise, and for service on the lakes and rivers of the Northwest.
