'I0.—An act to establish a military post at or near the city of Helena, in my 12, 1g9g_ Lewis and Clarke County, in the State of Montana. —i———— Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That upon the transfer and H¤1<¤n=·.Mnnr. conveyance to the United States of a good and sufficient title to not _Mi1itnry pos: embless than one thousand acres of land, without cost to the United States, 1‘“1‘°“‘ situated at or near the city of Helena, in the county of Lewis and Clarke and State of Montana, and on or near a railroad, and constituting an Donation nf siteeligible and suitable site for an army post, and to be approved and accepted by the Secretary of War for that purpose, then and thereupon there shall be, and is hereby, established and located on said land a ' United States Army Post, of such character and capacity as the Secretary of War shall direct and approve. Sec. 2 That for the purpose of detraying the expenses of locating ,m·;gr;°¤·*;==;i¤¤¤ for said army post as aforesaid, and of constructing barracks, quarters, hos- Post,isj,376.- pitals, kitchens, mess halls, stables, storehouses, magazines, defenses, and other necessary and suitable improvements and buildings, there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury of the United States not otherwise appropriated the sum of one hundred thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may he necessary, the same to be drawn from the Treasury and applied to said purposes under direction of the Secretary of War: Provided, That no part of said sum hereby appro- grnnivn- Y pgated shall be expended until the aforesaid tract of land shall have ,,,,§l"{§’{§§,§Z§’§.?p°“° n conveyed to and accepted by the United States.
