States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War ,,g,,'I,`QEf ° °°""'°° be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to remove the charge of desertion from the military record of James McConnell, late private in Company B, Fifth Regiment Connecticut Infantry, and grant him an {,*0**0-m honorable discharge: Provided, That no pay, bounty, or emolument °pay’shall become due or pension granted by virtue of the passage of this Act. Approved, January 25, 1895. Januarv 25, 1895. CHAP. 48.—An Act For the relief of the widow and legal representatives of the -——+— late Orsemus B. Boyd, captain in Eighth United States Cavalry. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Orsemus B.B¤y=}· States of America in Congress assembled, That the accounting officers of ,,£,‘Q"Q,',§‘,§‘°,‘f§‘,f"{0°{,ér§§ the Treasury are hereby directed, on application being made by the r¤1>r¤¤¤¤¢—¤¤*¤¤- widow and legal representatives of the late Orsemus B. Boyd, a private and lieutenant of volunteers, and captain in the Eighth United States Cavalry, for commutation of rations and pay which accrued while said deceased soldier was in the volunteer and regular armies of the United State ; to readjust and allow the sum thereon in accordance with the principle of the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States in the Watson case, and to pay whatever shall be found to be due thiereunder out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriate . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives oj the United {_4_;¤;n*;;m_;;1?{=°¤::<§£ States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- .;,5},,.,.; 1,.,,..;,, ury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay Mrs. Victor Thunot the sum of one thousand six hundred dollars, principal money for the redemption of three tive-twenty coupon bondsof the United States; one for one hundred dollars, one for five hundred dollars, and one for one thousand dollars, together with coupons attached; for interest d ue on the one hundred dollar bond from November first, eighteen hundred and seventythree, to July twentieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-fiveon the five hundred dollar bond from November first, eighteen hundred and seventy-three, to the first day of May, eighteen hundred and seventy-five; on the one thousand dollar bond from November first, eighteen hundred and seventy-three, to January first, eighteen hundred and seventyhve; in payment of bonds numbered fortv two thousand four hundred and ten, for one hundred dollars; numbered seven thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven for ive hundred dollars; numbered ten thousand three hundred and sixtyseven for one thousand dollars; which said bonds are lost or destroyed, and were, respectively, called in at the times herein stated, upon the filing of an indemnifying pn;¤¤;;¤§72§¤a._31 bond, to be approved of by the Secretary of the Treasury, as pre- · ·· · ·*’·‘ · scmbed by section thirty-seven hundred and three, United States Revised Statutes, and the regulations of the Department.
