FIFTY-THIRD CONGRESS. Sess. III. CHS. 225-228. 1895. 1045 CHAP. 225.—An Act Granting increase of pension to Jesse C. Pinney. March 2. 1895. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Jesse C.?i¤¤¤y. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized aud directed to place on the P°"“'°““‘“'°"°°‘ pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, at the rate of fifty dollars per month, the name of Jesse C. Pinney, late a private of Company B, Ninth Kansas Volunteer Infantry, of the late war of the rebellion, and that said pension be in lieu of the pension now received by him. Approved, March 2, 1895. CHAP. 226.-An Act For the relief of Thorwald Olsen. March 2, 1895. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War be, ggzrvsid 01¤¤¤- and he is hereby, authorized and directed to revoke the discharge from '°°°"1 °°" the military service of Commissary-Sergeant Thorwald Olsen, dated October twelfth, eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and to cancel the enlistment of the said Olsen, dated January eighteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-two; and the said Olsen shall be considered now to be, and to have been, continuously in the service under his enlistment of July sixteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety, as if said discharge of October twelfth, eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and enlistment of January eighteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-two, had never taken place; and the accounting officers of the Treasury are hereby authorized and directed to adjust and pay the accounts for pay and P“Y·°“* allowances of the said Olsen in accordance with the object and intent of this Act. CHAP. 227.-An Act To grant a pension to Mrs. Mary Button,of Arkansas, widow March 2, 1895- of Asa Button, deceased. ‘f*‘—°“‘ Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Mw B¤¤·¤¤· Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the P°”°i°“` pension roll, at the rate of eight dollars per month, the name of Mary Button, widow of Asa Button, deceased, who served as a private from December eighteenth, eighteen hundred and thirty-six, to April twelfth, eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, in Captain M. NV. Reinhart’s Company of Arkansas Volunteers, under General Gaines, in the “Sabine disturbance? _ Approved, March 2, 1895. CHAP. 228,-An Act For the relief of James Berry Duckett. Mmh 2· 1895- Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War is atfmu B"'? D“°k· hereby authorized and directed to muster James Berry Duckett, of zinum-y msu1m. North Carolina, as of Company E, Ninth Regiment of Tennessee Cav- ’°°*°'l· alry, said muster to date from the sixteenth of June, eighteen hundred and sixtyfour, and to issue to said James Berry Duckett an honorable discharge from said service, to date from the mustering out of said regiment.
