Academy for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-six. _;;` Bc it enacted by the Senate and Ho/use of Representatives of the United Miumy Auusmy States of America, in Congress assembled, That the following sums be, “PP’°P’*°"°”°- and the same are hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the support of the Military Academy for the iiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred h and ninety-six. For pay of one superintendent of the United States Military Acad- 8n§“I§rgfe;‘;(§j;";h*j°d‘ elmy (colonel), in addition to pay as major of engineers, one thousand' ` ollars. For pay of eight professors, twenty-seven thousand dollars. For pay of one associate professor of mathematics, two thousand dollars. For one comm:-mdant of cadets (lieutenant-colonel), in addition to pay as captain, not mounted, one thousand two hundred dollars. For pay of one instructor of practical military engineering (major), in addition to pay as captain, mounted, five hundred dollars. For pay of one instructor of ordnance and science of gunnery (major), in addition to pay as captain, mounted, five hundred dollars. For pay of eight assistant professors (captains), in addition to pay as frst lieutenant , not mounted, four thousand dollars. For pay of three senior instructors of cavalry, artillery, and infantry tactics (captains), in addition to pay as first lientenants, not mounted, one thousand five hundred dollars. For pay of four assistant instructors of cavalry, artillery, and infantry tactics (captains), in addition to pay as second lieutemmts, not mounted, two thousand four hundred dollars. · For pay of one adjntant, in addition to pay as second lieutenant, not mounted, four hundred dollars. For pay of one treasurer, quartermaster, and commissary of cadets, in addition to pay as captain of infantry, seven hundred dollars. For pay of one master of the sword, one thousand five hundred dollars. For pay of cadets, one hundred and seventy thousand dollars. ¤•¤¤*¤ For pay of one teacher of music, one thousand and eighty dollars. For additional pay of protessors and officers (and officers ou increased Lvrwevity my- rank) for length of service, ten thousand one hundred and twenty dol- · lars and one cent. For pay of the Military Academy bond: Six enlisted musicians at B¤¤·*- thirtyibur dollars per month, two thousand four hundred und forty- eight dollars; six enlisted musicians at twenty dollars per month, one thousand four hundred and forty dollars; twelve enlisted musicians nt seventeen dollars per month, two thousand four hundred and forty- eight dollars; additionnl pay for length of service, nine hundred and twenty-four dollars; clothing on discharge, nine hundred and sixty dollars; retained pay on discharge, five hundred and seventy-six dollars; in all, eight thousand seven hundred und ninety-six dollars.
