Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the $;ggE)E·Th°mPM¤ Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the ` pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Alden B. Thompson, late a landsman on the ships Columbus and Ohio, in the United States Navy, and pay him a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month. Approved, July 8, 1898. CHAP. 659.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to James S. Chapman. July 3, 1g9s_ Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the ·,[¤¤¤a¤ S;C¤¤1>¤¤¤¤- Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the °°°'°° m°r°°°°°' pension roll, subject to the limitations and provisions of the pension laws, the name of James S. Chapman, late private, Company B, Fifth Battalion Ohio Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of the pension he is now receiving.
