After the accusation has been made or received the court ` shall forthwith make an order rqquiring the accused to appear and answer the accusation at a specific time in the same or a su sequent term, and shall cause a copy of the order and of the accusation to be served u(pon the accused within a prescribed time before the day appointe in the order to appear and answer.
