Fnrrrsnvnnrn coxemcss. sm. 1. cH. 1352. 1902. 595 CONTINGENT AND MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES. _ For contingent expenses of the government of the District of Colum· C°¤“¤8€¤*°¤P¤¤¤°=*— bra, namely: _F or printing, checks, books, law books, books of referencegand periodica s, stationery; detection of frauds on the revenue; repairs of market houses; painting; surveying instruments and implements; drawing materia s; binding, rebinding, repairing, and preservation of records; maintaining and keeping in good order the aboratory and apparatus in the office of the inspector of asphalt and cement; damages; livery, purchase, and careof horses and carriages or bnggies not otherwise provided for; horseshoeing; fuel, ice, gas, repairs, insurance, repairs to pound and vehicles, and other general necessary expenses of District offices, including the sinking-fund office, board of charities, harbor master, health department, surveyor’s office, sealer of weights and measures office, police court, and department of insurance, t irty thousand dollars; an the Commissioners shall so appprtion this sum as to prevent a deficiency therein: Provided, Hm"- Thpt f orse; gpld vehicles appropriated for in this Act shall be used U" °*h°"°’- on or o c · purposes. For livery of horse or horse hire for coroner’s office, jurors’ fees, C°’°“"‘"°" °‘P°““°°· removal of deceased ersons, making autopsies. ice, disinfectants, and other necessary supplies for the morgue, and the necessary expenses of holding inquests, including stenographic services in taking testimony. and photographing unidentified bodies, one thousand two hundred dollars.
