Evans tract of land, represented by lien certificates numbered eight and thirty-eight of the series issued for the cost of improvements upon the street connecting Columbia road with Connecticut avenue extended and thence alon said avenue to the District line, which certificates have been declared by the supreme court of the District of Columbia to have been illegally ' issued; and for that purpplse there is hereby a propriated the aforesaid sum of mone , one- f of which to be paid from the revenues of ,,,$,§‘,}{,,f°'“ D*““°‘ the District of Columbia and one~half from any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. Barber, who is {,g}éc§§,§°{;, mm the owner of military bounty land warrant forty-five thousand four im Mississippi authorhundred and sixty-seven, issued the twentieth day of March, eighteen md' ` hundred and fifty-two, for forty acres of land and military bounty land warrant sixty-two thousand one hundred and four, issued the thirteenth day of April, eighteen hundred and fifty-seven, for one hundred and sixty acres of land, isauthorized to select two hundred acres of unreservcd public lands of the United States in the State of Mississippi, in one body, or in subdivisions of not less than forty acres eac , and upon such selection and the delivery of said land warrantsto the Secretary of the Interior duly certified and assigned to the bearer, it shall be the duty of the Secretary of the Interior to issue platent, or patents, as the case may be, to said I.
