Chap. 835.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to James H. Hargis.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of James H. Hargis, late of Company C, Fifty-fifth Regiment Kentucky Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Chap. 839.—An Act For the relief of Kirby Thomas.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Postmaster-General be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to allow on the accounts of Kirby Thomas, postmaster at Superior, Wisconsin, a credit of thirteen thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven dollars and thirty-six cents, for postal funds derived from box rents and postage stamps, or their equivalent in money, stolen from said post-office by burglars on the night of October twentieth, nineteen hundred and three.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Henry Christy, late of Company G, Seventy-Sixth Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Hunt, late assistant surgeon, Twelfth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Cavalry, and v, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty-six dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
