CHS. 3525, 3526. 1906. 455 issuance of the order creating the Fort Clinch Military Reservation, shall be, and the same are hereby, confirmed, granted, released, and relinquished to the said several ersons to whom said lots were so granted by Spain and confirmed by the United States, respectively, and their respective heirs, representatives, and assigns; and that all the right, title, claim, and interest of the United States at the date of the patent to Yulee and of the swamp-land selection by Florida hereinafter referred to in and to lots one and two of section fourteen, in townshi three north of range twenty-eight east of said meridian, except the said lots granted by Spain to certain persons and confirmed by the United States as above mentioned, and except the block of the o d town of Fernandina known as the Plaza, bounded by Estrada, White, Marine, and Somuerelos streets, and except also the Military _ Road from said town to Fort Clinch, be, and the same are hereby, released and relinquished to the several persons and corporations, respectively, now claiming or holding the same under a patent issued by the United States to David L. Yulee, dated the fifth day of September, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, to said lot two, and under an approval and certification by the Secretary of the Interior of the United States to the State of Florida of said lot one, as swam and overiiowed lands, under an Act of Congress dated the twenty-eighth day of September, eighteen hundred and fifty: Provided, however, That titles to d that portion of said lands which are now held by said town of Fernan- OW s' dina for public purposes, whether claimed under the Act of Congress V<>*·5»1>-667- of June hfteenth, eighteen hundred and forty-four (Fifth Statute, page six hundred and sixty-seven), or otherwise, shall be, and hereby are, confirmed, granted, released, and relinquished to said town of Fernandina: And provided further, That the said town of F ernandina shall wut"? *°°‘*· hold the lands hereby confirmed and relin uished_to it only on condition that the said town shall kee o n and maintain the said Military Road from said town to Fort Clindhe without expense to the United States. .
