That any person, company, corporation, or association 1a§;g:l°hm°¤**“'*° violating any provision of this Act or any regulation established in pursuance thereof shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars or imprisonment at hard labor for a term of not more than uinet days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, at the discretion of the court; and in case of the violation of any of the provisions of section four of this Act and conviction thereof a further fine of not more than two hundred and fifty dollars per diem may, at the discretion of the court, be imposed for each day such obstruction is maintained. And every vessel or other apparatus or V°“°l'· °“’· equipment used or employed in violation of any provision of this Act, or 0 any regulation made thereunder, ma be seized by order of the Secretary of Commerce and Labor, and siiall be held subject to the payment of such fine or fines as may be imposed. _ `Ec. 14. That the violation of an provision of this Act ma be P'°'°°“°‘°‘°“‘ pyosecuted in any district court of Aiaska or any district court ofy the nited States in the States of California, Oregon, or Washington. And it shall be the duty of the Secretary of Commerce and Labor to enforce the provisions of this Act and the rules and regulations made thereunder. And it shall be the duty of the district attorney to whom any violation is reported by any agent? or representative of the Department of Commerce and Labor to institute proceedingsnecessary to carry out the provisions of this Act. · Sec. 15.
