That in the acquisition of a new site heretofore authorized, ws- for the subtreasury at San Francisco, California, and for the purpose r餔$ihl§5Zi&., .4;.. of securing better facilities for light and air and a larger open space °°¤*•“°Y- than is now regpired bly law to be provided as a protection against the danger of e in a jacent buildings and in consideration of the granting to the United States_of a perpetual right of wav over a strip of land twenty-five feet in width next adjacent to such site, or the dedication of said str?) of land to the city of San Francisco for a public alley, the Secretary o the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to cause said St»l'l%0 land to be graded, paved, and improved to such extent as may e necessary to put the same in condition for use or as may be_required to malre it conform to the ordinances and regulations of the city of San Francisco govermng the acceptance of the dedication of land for the purposes of a public alley; and for this purpose the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized to expend such sum as may _ be necessariy, not to exceed ten thousand dollars, from the a ropria-
