Ta t, President of the United States $gf_‘},,‘},“;}°§,_g“"'¤°d· of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by the Act of Con- ’ ` gress aipproved June fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, entitle ‘An Act Making appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety~eight, and for other urposes," do proclaim that the boundaries of the Carson National IForest are hereby changed gud tgiat they are ·now as shown on the diagram forming a part ereo . The withdrawal made by' this proclamation shall, as to all lands ,ml;§;" 'lghts ”°'$ °" which are at this date legally appropriated under the public land ` laws or reserved for any public purpose, be subject to and shall not interfere with or defeat eaal rights under such appropriation, nor prevent the use for such pu liclpurpose of lands so reserved, so long as such appropriation is le a y maintained or such reservation remains in fbrce; Pr0·mZded,‘ That all the rights, powers, and duties pmpm. of the Secreta of the Interior and the Commissioner of Indian S§$,§’,{’}“ 'ights "' Affairs, and ally rights and privileges of their permittees and the V°1·35·P·22"°· Indians, reserved and confirmed by the proclamation of the President of the United States of March second, nineteen hundred and nine, enlarging the Carson National Forest, shall remain in full force and effect, notwithstanding anything in this proclamation contained. This proclamation shall not prevent the settlement and entry of $§figg4¤¤¤¤;g¤¤¤¤- any lands heretofore opened to settlement and entry under the Act ’p` ' of Congress approved June eleventh, nineteen hundred and six, entitled "An Act To provide for the entry of Agricultural lands within forest reserves."
