Peabodty, of Chic¢}go, Cook County Illinois, "°‘· grantee of rights, title, an interest o the Texas City Company, all the followmindescribed tracts or arcels of land m Galveston County, Texas, own, designated, and) described as follows, to wit: Being a_part of lot numbered mue, in block numbered forty-seven, first division of the town of Texas City, Galveston Conmty, Texas, and beginning at the southwest comer of said lot numbered nine; thence north along the west line of said lot fort ·seven feet to a. corner; thence east at right angle twenty—Eve fi-ict; thence south along the east line of said ot forty-seven feet; thence west with the sout line of said lot twenty-five feet to the place of beginning. Also that certain tract or parcel of land, being a s uare of fifteen feet, and being} part of Bay Street, in the town of 'lgzxas City, Galveston County, exas, beginni1§ at a point sixty-two feet east of the east hne of block nine, first ivision of said town of Texas City, and seventy-eight feet north of the southeast corner of said block nine; thence north fifteen feet; thence east fifteen feet; thence south fifteen feet; thence west fifteen feet to the place of beginning; all of which tracts or parcels of land were granted and conveyed to the United States by the Texas City Company in May, 1906, for the nominal consideration of $1 for each tract, and which land was to be used as site for beacons or ranges to mark the `Texas City Channelsaxd tracts of land being no longer needed for the purposes for which they were conveyed, in view of the abandonment of said beacons
