CHAP. _421.j——An Act To amend the Printing Act approved January 12, Ml’g?h36i*»hij)25` 1895, by discontinuing the printing of certain Government publications, and for other purposes. Re it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the _ United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 3 of tim p"""i“‘ 'md the-Act providing for the public printing and binding and the distribution of public documents, approved January 12, 1895, be, and IS hereby, amended to read as follows: runcunsa or PAPER P¤’°'¤¤¤° of ww- “Sec. 3. The Joint Committee on Printing shall fix upon stand- b,§iZE.°g°{;°§,§;,i’{’,,§{?§§ ards_of paper for the different descri tions of public rinting and P'*”"“¤· binding, and the Public Printer shall, under their dlirection, ad- $gf§?§?§‘0$?§’g,,¤d. vertise in one newspaper or trade journal, published in each of six °d- Clt1€S, for sealed proposals to furnish the Government with paper, as specified in the schedule to be furnished applicants by the Public Printer, setting forth in detail the quality and quantities required for the public printing. (a) That the Director of the Census shall cause to be ,,,§§,}’§,‘Q§§’§°,{*,c‘;§g compiled, edited, indexed and published, on or before the first °“¤· C•>¤¤¤· Monday in October of each year an Official Register of the United States which shall contain a full and complete list of all persons occupying administrative and supervisory positions in each executive and judicial department of the Government, including the District of Columbia, in connection with which salaries are plaid from the Treasury of the United States.
