INCREASE QF THE NAVY . Increaseofthe Navy. Construction and machinery: On account of hulls and outfits of mit°iiS€i§“°$i°$£§§ vessels and machinery of vessels heretofore authorized, $14,200,000, ""g°cf,‘§§':}u,*;_‘;g“§,§”,y,‘;; of which sum $450,000 shall be immediately available toward the dimly available. mnstruction of the last three of the eight scout cruisers authorized V°‘·‘“·"·"°· by section 2 of the Act of December 18, 1924, and, in addition, the p,1;g·g§gggl,{{gg==¤v- Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to make trans- ' fers during the fiscal year 1928 from the naval supply account fund to this appropriation of sums aggregating $5,115,000, and the total sum hereby made available shal remain available imtil expended. Armor, armament, and ammunition: Toward the armor, armament, u¤·},g;*<;l;;¤;;j&_;;)¤,§S¤l¤ and ammunition for vessels heretofore authorized, to remain avail- ` ` able until expended, $9,500,000. _ The ap ropriations made in this Act for the purchase or manu- m;§"i,’§§,,g"6§g{“iP‘ facture ofp equipment or material or of a particular class of equipment i or material shall be available for the purchase of letters patent applications for letters patent, licenses under letters patent and applications for letters patent that pertain to such equipment or material for which the appropriations are made, No part of any appropriation made for the Navy shall be expended ,,H§,‘§S§§f;i2,°€.?d'Ym°°° for any of the purposes herein provided for on account of the Navy Department in the District of olumbia, including personal services of civilians and of enlisted men of the Navy, except as herein _ expressly authorized: Provided, That there may be detailed to the £’.,‘{fii‘§"‘m Nam,. Bureau of Navigation not to exceed at any one time twent -four **°¤ Bum"- enlisted men of the Navy: Provided further, That enlisted men ,§,Q§§,°,j‘,e§,*;'g;°,*;,}*°° detailed to the naval dispensary and the radio, communication service ` shall not be regarded as detailed to the Navy Department in the District of Columbia.
