SIXTY-NINTH CONGRESS. Sass. I. CH. 209. 1926. 383 in line of duty, such widow having remarried either once or more after the death of the soldier, sailor, or marine if it be shown that such subseqpent or successive marriage has or have been dissolved, either by t e death of the husband or husbands or by divorce on any ground except adultery on the part of the wife and any such former widow shall be entitled to and be paid a pension at the rate of $30 a month, and any widow or former widow mentioned in ¤&Qg’(§'“°“*°°h‘ld‘¤‘ this section shall also be paid $6 a month for each child imder ' sixteen years of age of such oiiicer or enlisted man, and in case To mmorchildmi, there be no widow or one not entitled to pension under any law ¤¤ wi<1¤w· granting additional pension to minor children the minor children under sixteen years of age of such oiiioer or enlisted man shall be entitled to the pension herein provided for the widow and in the event of the death or remarriage of the window or forfeiture of the widow’s _title to pension the pension shall continue from the date of such death, remarriage, or forfeiture to such child or children of such oiiicer or enlisted man until the age of sixteen _ years: Provided That in case a minor child is insane, idiotic, or {°,{,‘§’,‘§‘;,,,,_’ch,,d_ otherwise mentally or physically helpless the pension shall continue during the life of such child, or during the period of such dis- ability· and this proviso shall apply to all pensions heretofore granted or hereafter granted un er this or any former statute: Pwmkied further, That when a pension has been granted to an i,,§‘°§§{{§l§°’f,,°§gi2,’§°Yg insane, idiotic, or otherwise helpless child, or to a child or children “’“*°W·°*°· under the age of sixteen years, a widow or former widow shall not be entitled to a pension under this Act until the pension to such child or children terminates unless such child or children _ be a member or members of her family and cared for by her; and ,,_,§,§f’d'S ¥‘°”$‘°“ °° upon the granting of pension_ to such_ widow or former widow payment o pension to such child or_ children shall cease, and this proviso shall apply to all claims arising under this or any other law. Sno. 3. Any soldier, sailor, or marine or nurse now on the pension h,,{“§§"§§§f"l°§,§’E roll or who may be hereafter entitled to a pension under the Act ¤b*li*Y·¤¤¢· of June 5, 1920, or under that Act as amended by the Act of ,2VIQ*&· P- mi VOL September 1, 1922, or under this Act on account of his service ' ` ' during the war with Spain, the Philiptpine insurrection, or China relief expedition, who is now or herea er may become on account of age or physical or mental disabilities, helpless or blind, or so nearly helpless or blind as to need or require the regular aid and attendance of another person, shall be given a rate of $72 a month, rovided such disabilities are not the result of his or her own vicious _ habits: And pro/vided further, That no one while an inmate of §,’,§,”§,;, 0, ,0,,,,%. the United States Soldiers’ Home or of any national or State homes- soldiers’ home shall be paid more than $50 per month under this Act. Sac. 4.
