Six months after the date of the notification of said 09¢ionnotaxerdaed. appraisal, if the option given in section 4 hereof shall not have been exercised in the manner herein specified or after receipt by the Secretar of the Navy of notice that the State, county,_and mumci- ality dh not desire to exercise the option herein granted, the Secretary of the Navy may sell or cause to be sold each of said properties at public sa e at not less than the appraised value thereof, after advertisement in such manner as he may irect. , Sno. 6.
