CHAP. 867 .-An Act Authorizing and directing the Secretary of War to gra nt certain l and to the c ity of Saint Paul, State of Minnesota . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War is authorized and directed to grant to the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota, the lot of land described as follows : Lot nu mbered 3 in blo ck numbe red 31, Saint Pau l proper , accord ing to t he recor ded plat thereof on file in the office of the register of deeds in said county of Ramsey and all that part of lot 4, in said block 31 afore- said according to the recorded plat thereof described as follows Commen cing at th e sout hwest corn er of lot n umber ed 4, - block num - bered 31 Saint Paul proper, thence running northerly along the west line of said lot aforesaid one hundred and seven and thirty- on e one-hu ndredths feet to an alle y, thenc e at rig ht angle s easter ly along the southerly line of said alley to the easterly line of said lot 4, thence southerly along said east line of lot 4 to the southeast corner of said lot 4, thence easterly along the northerly line of Second Stre et to the p lace of beginning ; for the sum of $34,7 50 : Provided, That said sum is paid to the United States within one year from the date of the approval of this Act, or sooner if funds are made available : Provided further, That the conveyance of said tract of land to the said City of Saint Paul shall be upon the condi- tion and limitation that said property shall be limited to the reten- tion and use for public purposes, and upon cessation of such retention an d use sh all reve rt to th e United States without notice, demand, or action brought . SEC . 2 . The net proceeds derived from the grant of such land shall be covered into th e Treasu ry to th e credit of the military post co n- struction fund . Approved, May 29, 1928 . May 29, 1928 .
