COOPERATIVE DISTRIBUTION OF FOREST PLANTING STOCK For cooperation with the various States in the procurement, pro- duction, and distribution of forest-tree seeds and plants in estab- lishing windbreaks, shelter belts, and farm wood lots upon denuded or nonforested lands within such cooperating States, under the pro- visions of section 4 of the Act entitled "An Act to provide for the protection of forest lands, for the reforestation of denuded areas, for the extension of national forests, and for other purposes, in order to promote the continuous production of timber on lands chiefly suitable therefor," approved June 7, 1924 (U . S . C ., p. 427, sec . 567), and Acts supplementary thereto, $83,000, of which amount not to exceed $1,840 may be e xpended for departmental personal services in the District of Columbia . ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL FOREST LANDS For the ac quisit ion of addit ional lands a t head waters of na vigabl e streams, to be expended under the provisions of the Act of March 1, 1911 (36 Stat. L., p. 961) (U. S. C., pp. 424 425, sees. 513-519), as amended by the Act of June 7, 1924 (U . S. C., pp. 427-428, sees. 564-570), $2,000,000, of which amount not to exceed $39,000 may be District.
