Be it enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the weather Bureau . United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary sale authorized of of Agriculture be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to adver- tat nt Weather, Va., tise for sale and to sell to the highest responsible bidder the premises -Post, pp . 1065, 1625 . known as Mount Weather, in the counties of Loudoun and Clarke, in the State of Virginia, and comprising eighty-four and eighty-one one-hundredths acres of land, more or less, together with the build- ings and other improvements thereon, including laboratories, cottages, sheds, stables, shops, heating and power plant, kite shelter, and other buildings of whatever nature, together with all rights, ease- ments, and appurtena nces thereto b elonging, at such time, in such manner, and upon suc h terms as he may deem for the best inte rests of the United States ; to convey such property to the purchaser thereof by the usual quitclaim deed, and to deposit the proceeds of such sale Deposit the Treasury of the United States as a miscellaneous receipt, after eeipts g deducting the expenses incident to such sale, but the Secretary of Agriculture shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids if in his judgment it is in the public interest to do so ; and in the event of a general rejection of bids, to readvertise the property under condi- tions provided herein as often as may be necessary to accomplish sale .
